Startup gets Humana grant to help improve outcomes for Black moms


An arm of Humana Inc. (NYSE:HUM) has awarded $120,000 to local organizations to improve outcomes for Black mothers in Louisville.

Humana Healthy Horizons in Kentucky, or its Kentucky Medicaid plan, will distribute grants to three local organizations: Melanated Healthcare, Granny’s Birth Initiative and Healthy Babies Louisville.
