Study: Triad’s housing market lags behind healthiest in NC, US


A new SmartAsset study ranks Durham's housing market the sixth healthiest in the United States – and the healthiest overall in North Carolina.

Winston-Salem and Greensboro placed No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, in the state, according to the study.

The study used four factors to determine a healthy market: stability, affordability, fluidity, and risk of loss. It only considered cities with a population greater than 200,000.
