Sudwerk breaking ground on revamped restaurant, beer garden

Groundbreaking set for Thursday evening in Davis will kick off a new dining component to complement one of the region's longest-running craft breweries.

By year's end, the owners of ​Sudwerk Brewing Co. hope to reopen a restaurant next to their tasting room at 2001 Second St., along with a new outdoor beer garden.

"Post-Covid, we know the environment now, people want outdoor experiences," said Ryan Fry, who owns Sudwerk with Trent Yackzan.
