Tampa Bay’s inflation rate is among the highest in the nation, report finds


While much of the nation saw a break in inflation in July, Tampa Bay maintained a double-digit inflation rate, according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics report.

The report shows that the Tampa Bay metropolitan area had an 11.2% inflation rate in July, slightly decreasing from 11.3% in May. Some of the highest price spikes are from rent, housing, transportation and food.
