Temple University Hospital nurses, technicians authorize strike

Temple University Hospital's 2,250 nurses, technicians and other staff represented by two unions that are part of the Pennsylvania Staff Nurses and Allied Health Professionals (PASNAP) have voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike if the issues raised in ongoing negotiations remain unaddressed.

The vote, which concluded Wednesday, was 95% in favor of authorizing a 10-day strike notice.

The contract between the North Philadelphia medical center and PASNAP expired Sept. 30
