Tens of millions in R&D funding, health care inventions galore: How Dell Medical School impacts Austin’s economy


The young institution attracted $96.5 million in extramural and clinical-trial research funding from 2015 to 2021, according to the study, performed by the Bureau of Business Research within UT's IC2 Institute. The research quantifies how Dell Med, which launched in 2014 and welcomed its first students in 2016, is working to meet the promise of boosting health care research and development in Central Texas.
