Christian Buze is following a long family tradition into the restaurant business.
He is the cousin of Larry White, founder of LoLo’s Chicken and Waffles and the grandson of Elizabeth White of Mrs. White’s Golden Rule Cafe.
Now Buze – who goes by “Chef Buzz” – will open his contemporary soul food concept, the Root and Soul, this week at the DeSoto Central Market in Downtown Phoenix.
