The District’s Department of Transportation is proposing an expansion of its storage facility for D.C.'s streetcars.
The D.C. streetcar car barn training center is located at 2550 Benning Road NE, between the city's Carver-Langston and Kingman Park neighborhoods. It's where maintenance and other operations for the District’s streetcars are housed. The streetcar provides free trips each day along eight stops between Union Station to Oklahoma Avenue, running along H Street NE and Benning Road.
