The Next Chapter: The every-other night plan


Eight multi-colored squishy stuffed animals line the top of the opposite side of the bed. A box fan sits on the ledge blasting cold air directly at my face.

It has been many years (over 30) since I have gone to sleep with stuffed animals, but once again I find myself in this same predicament.

When my children were born, their dad and I tried to use the bassinet and the crib, but honestly we were not cut out for getting up all through the night with crying babies.
