The Works breaks ground on Lincoln Park, new affordable housing in South Memphis


The Works Inc., a locally based community development nonprofit, broke ground on Jan. 30 for a new South Memphis affordable housing development that’s been a decade in the making.

Lincoln Park is set to house 30 families at 667 Richmond Ave., the former site of Lincoln Junior High. The development should include 14 single-family units and eight duplexes for low-to-moderate-income families.
