Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes seeks 18 months at home as punishment


Lawyers for Elizabeth Holmes on Thursday asked that she be sentenced to 18 months of home confinement when her punishment for defrauding Theranos Inc. investors is decided next week.

The plea for leniency for the 38-year-old founder of the defunct Silicon Valley blood-testing business was accompanied by letters of support from more than 130 friends, relatives, Theranos investors and former company employees, according to Bloomberg.
