August was a big month for openings, with the newly remodeled and expanded Kentucky International Convention Center leading the way.
Two big housing complexes opened — one for seniors at Masonic Communities and a $74 million project called Riverport Landings.
And, of course, there are new restaurants: the long-awaited Martin's Bar-B-Que joint in the former Lynn's Paradise Cafe building, a new Feast BBQ in Jeffersontown and Purrfect Day Cafe in the Highlands for those who need a fix of adorable.
