This San Francisco startup is aiming to solve the world’s food crisis


The sound of chirping crickets can be used to fill an awkward silence after a bad attempt at humor.

But Chirps Chips is out to show the insects are no joke and have the potential to unravel the world’s swelling food insecurity issues.

Munching on one of the chips will produce the same crunch as any other packaged snack, but the cricket chips are more nutritional and cheaper to produce.
