To appease Icahn, Caesars Entertainment adds 3 new directors


To appease activist investor Carl Icahn, who owns 10 percent of the company, Caesars Entertainment Corp. Friday announced it will replace three of its board members.

Last month, Icahn urged the Las Vegas-based gambling giant (Nasdaq: CZR) to sell itself, after the company reportedly received buyout offers from two different companies.

Under the deal with Icahn, Caesars said it will add Keith Cozza, Courtney Mather and James Nelson to its board, and possibly allow Icahn to name a fourth board member…
