Top Surly brewer jumps to Fair State Brewing


Jerrod Johnson, one of Surly Brewing's most senior brewers, has switched beers.

The Growler reports that Johnson, the co-head brewer at Minneapolis-based Surly, has joined Fair State Brewing Cooperative as director of brewing operations. Fair State co-founder Niko Tonks will stay head brewer there, with Johnson managing operations at the brewery's St. Paul production facility.
