It's a big day for three Triangle restaurateurs as the 2022 James Beard Awards will announce its top chefs and restaurants Monday evening.
The Triangle has two chefs nominated for Best Chef: Southeast. Representing Raleigh is Cheetie Kumar of Garland, and from Durham is Ricky Moore of Saltbox Seafood Joint.
This is Kumar’s second time as a finalist in the category and Moore’s first.
