Two restaurants to replace Mocha Java Cafe in Ward Centre


A barbecue restaurant and a Hawaii-based boba milk tea shop will both open locations next month in the former Mocha Java Café space in Howard Hughes’ Ward Centre.

Mocha Java Café closed last month after 35 years in business. Taking over the space is Shorty’s, a barbecue restaurant based in Florida, and Taste Tea, which currently has one location on Kapiolani Blvd.
