U.S. Bank profit falls, but capital growth eases Wall Street worries


Shares of U.S. Bancorp are up nearly 6% Wednesday following a second-quarter earnings release that eased analysts' minds about the bank’s ability to raise capital as it grows large enough to draw increased government regulation.
