UF Health to open its 1st area ER in former Lake County CVS


UF Health plans to convert a former CVS pharmacy in Lake County into a freestanding emergency room — a first in metro Orlando for the University of Florida-affiliated health system.

UF Health is seeking a conditional-use permit from the city of Clermont to allow it to operate a 24-hour emergency room at 4405 S. U.S. Highway 27. Plans are to convert the existing 14,308-square-foot building in Clermont, city documents showed.
