Union wants Hahnemann rezoned so site remains dedicated to health care


Philadelphia health care union District 1199C called on city officials to rezone the land occupied by the soon-to-close Hahnemann University Hospital so the property can only be used for a health-care facility.

Union officials, during a rally outside the Center City hospital Friday afternoon, said they want to prevent Hahnemann’s corporate owner, California-based American Academic Health System, from selling the land to the highest bidder.
