UPMC fights back against attorney general’s attempt to extend consent decree


UPMC told the Pennsylvania Supreme Court that it should deny Attorney General Josh Shapiro's attempt to extend the UPMC-Highmark consent decree, which it did in 2018.

A Commonwealth Court judge April 3 dealt a blow to Shapiro's attempts to extend the decree, saying that the Supreme Court had already ruled in 2018 surrounding Medicare Advantage that the decree was to end June 30.
