US Justice Department appeals UnitedHealth acquisition of Change Healthcare


The U.S. Department of Justice, which saw its legal challenge to UnitedHealth Group Inc.'s acquisition of Change Healthcare rejected by a court earlier this fall, wants another chance to sink the deal.

The Justice Department on Friday filed with U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, seeking an appeal of the September decision that let Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth (NYSE: UNH) proceed with its $13 billion acquisition of Change Healthcare (NASDAQ: CHNG).
