WEDC grant supports redevelopment of Brookfield train depot into Fiddleheads


A grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation will assist the redevelopment of a former train depot in Brookfield into a coffee shop and café.

The $250,000 community development investment grant will help relocate an 1860s train depot in the historic Village Area. The depot is considered the second-oldest building in Brookfield and will be moved across the street.

It will become a new store for Fiddleheads coffee shop and café, which has six wholesale and retail coffee business…
