Wells Fargo sees profit slashed by half in fourth quarter, largely due to CFPB settlement


Wells Fargo & Co. reports that its profit for the fourth quarter was cut in half from the same time last year, largely due to its ongoing efforts to resolve litigation, regulatory and customer remediation matters.
