Western Auto Lofts suits from condo buyers balloon through the year, triggering tangled litigation web


The lawsuits argue that buyers were not properly informed about multimillion-dollar special assessments required for building repairs at the historic community. As the year progressed, the claims spawned a tangled web of litigation involving efforts to consolidate plaintiffs' cases as well as cross claims and counterclaims among the 19 named defendants.
