With big assist from Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, UC looks to boost women, minorities in STEM


With a $6.9 million, five-year commitment from Facebook Inc. CEO Mark Zuckerberg and pediatrician Priscilla Chan, two University of California campuses will try to replicate the success of an East Coast program in guiding minority and women students through coursework into STEM careers.
