Yauatcha Waikiki to close next month


Yauatcha Waikiki, an upscale dim sum restaurant located at the International Market Place in Waikiki, will close on Aug. 31.

The restaurant, owned by Hakkasan Group, opened at the beginning of last year and hired about 100 employees. Its sister restaurant, Herringbone Waikiki, is also located at the Waikiki shopping center and will remain open.

"Yauatcha Waikiki has made the difficult decision to close the current operation at International Market Place," Hakkasan Group said in an emailed statement.…
