$20M renovation project planned for Jones Plaza in downtown Houston


Nearly 20 years after a $6.5 million makeover, Jones Plaza in downtown Houston’s Theater District will be upgraded once again.

The plaza will undergo a $20 million redevelopment project thanks to a partnership among Houston First Corp., which operates the city’s convention and performing arts facilities; the city of Houston; and the Downtown Redevelopment Authority, a city economic development organization, according to a press release.
