The map and list from careers website Zippia examine how much money it takes each year for a family of three to live. The data is based on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Living Wage Calculator.

In Florida, the magic number is $52,206. That means the state ranks 17th among the most-expensive places to live in the U.S.
