Montgomery County tourism generates near-$2B in 2017


Montgomery County tourism saw almost $2 billion in visitor sales last year, a steady increase from 2016 numbers.

Visitor spending in Montgomery County generated $1.97 billion in business sales, directly and indirectly in 2017, according to data released by Tourism Economics, an Oxford Economics Company, and the Ohio Development Services Agency TourismOhio Office.

The data also revealed the area’s direct tourism sales grew by 1.6 percent between 2016 and 2017.
