Montgomery County projects 2022 tourism revenue to fall just shy of pre-pandemic levels

Montgomery County's investments in sports and corporate events are helping it bridge the gap between current and pre-pandemic tourism revenue.

Montco's 2022 year-end revenue from tourism is projected to hit $250.7 million, just $3.1 million shy of the revenue generated in 2019, according to the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board's annual report. The county's climb to the cusp of pre-pandemic revenue levels comes just two years after Covid-19 first devastated the tourism industry.
