McDonald’s to test alternatives to plastic straws


McDonald's will test an alternative to plastic straws in the U.S. and introduce paper straws in more than 1,000 markets in the U.K. and Ireland.

Paper straws will be introduced to all 1,361 stores in the U.K. and Ireland starting this September, the fast-found giant announced Friday. The plan is expected to be completed by 2019.
