Indeed, 2,647 houses in 88 metro-area ZIP codes sold for a million dollars or more during the last four quarters ending in September, according to data provided by the Regional Multiple Listing Service (RMLS). Still, that's only 6.8% of the 38,450 homes sold over that time.
