A biotechnology product supplier is shuttering its office in Milpitas and cutting 30 workers


A U.K.-based provider of antibodies and research tools for biotechnology companies is closing its Milpitas location and plans to lay off about 30 workers there.

Abcam Inc., the U.S. division of Abam plc., plans to begin cutting workers around March 10, Christina Beaulieu, its global head of human resources for its supply chain and manufacturing, said in a letter to local and state officials made public Tuesday.
