A meatless burger at McDonald’s? ‘Paying close attention to it,’ says CEO


As other fast-food restaurant chains add meatless items to their menus, McDonald's Corp. is closely examining the vegan burger situation.

In a conference call on Tuesday, after the Chicago fast-food giant (NYSE: MCD) reported its first-quarter earnings, CEO Steve Easterbrook was asked whether meatless burgers fit into the company's future plans.
