Advocate Aurora Health bolstered its role in the Marinette area of northeast Wisconsin by agreeing to assume full control of a hospital that has been known as Bay Area Medical Center.
The hospital will be renamed Aurora Medical Center — Bay Area. The facility has operated since 2014 as a joint venture of Bay Area Medical Center and Aurora Health Care.
The deal is expected to close in mid-year 2019, subject to regulatory approvals, Advocate Aurora Health said Wednesday.
