Khyber Pass being replaced by cocktail lounge Bar Cart


The former Afghan restaurant on Grand Avenue, Khyber Pass, is being replaced by a cocktail bar and restaurant called Bar Cart.

Khyber Pass closed its doors earlier this month after 37 years of service. The Pioneer Press reports that the owners, Masooda and Emel Sherzad, sold the building to Ralena Young and her business partner, Brian Riess, who are launching the new concept.

Young and Riess are former coworkers at Eagan-based Eyes Wide Hospitality Group, which owns about a dozen restaurant concepts…
