After investors win $1M judgment against Mini Doughnut Factory, new operators open in its South Tampa space


A new maker of bite-size doughnuts has taken over the Mini Doughnut Factory space in South Tampa — six weeks after investors were awarded a nearly $1 million judgment against the business.

Simply Done Donuts, which has a location in the Atlanta area, is now open at 2109 S. Dale Mabry Highway. The location was previously home to Mini Doughnut Factory, which closed in mid-April in the midst of a legal feud between founders Patrick and Zezura Ruddell and investor Lee Kearney.
