Ameris CEO resigns amidst lawsuit, merger


Jacksonville-based Ameris Bancorp (Nasdaq: ABCB) finalized its $870 million acquisition of Atlanta-based Fidelity Southern Corp. on Monday – just five days after its CEO quietly resigned.
