Another Boston firm opens EU office to avoid Brexit’s wrath


Boston-based private equity firm HarbourVest Partners announced the opening of its Dublin office on Friday, a move that will allow it to maintain a location inside the European Union once the U.K. exits the political bloc.

HarbourVest’s only office in Europe had been in London. The U.K. was set to formally exit the EU on Friday following the 2016 Brexit vote, though its departure date has been delayed, given the uncertainty surrounding how exactly the departure will take place.
