Austin-based Direct Biologics aims to go public in SPAC merger


Another Austin company plans to go public through a merger with a blank-check company — a strategy that was all the rage in 2021 but has fallen a bit out of favor this year. Direct Biologics Inc. has signed a letter of intent to merge with Good Works II Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company sponsored by IB Capital.
