Austin developer reaps early rewards for gamble on San Antonio’s East Side


Plans to convert the Andy were initially conceived by Gene and Betty Braden, best known for their themed haunted houses in defunct commercial spaces. But they ran into issues during the Covid-19 pandemic and ended up selling to an Austin firm that has taken the lead.
