Maryland’s booziest counties, ranked by beer consumption
Worcester County, home of one of the state's top tourism hotspots, Ocean City, is by far the largest consumer of beer per capita among the state's 24 jurisdictions.
The Eastern Shore county also leads the way for distilled spirits and is second in wine, according to the Maryland comptroller's annual report for fiscal year 2017.
In Worcester County, 54.3 gallons of beer per capita were consumed in the period.
