Berkshire-owned Clayton, Ecobee agree to deal on smart thermostat installations


Berkshire Hathaway's Clayton Home Building Group has agreed to a deal with home-automation outfit Ecobee that calls for smart thermostats from the Canadian-owned company to be installed in newly prefabricated homes from Clayton.

The agreement provides for installation of the ecobee3 lite smart thermotat, aiming to help owners save money and reduce the environmental impact of their property.
