More than a year of widespread speculation as to who would fill the 260,000-square-foot office vacancy left by Waddell & Reed's acquirer at 1400KC is at an end. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City will relocate its headquarters to the 18-story tower, providing new amenities and collaboration spaces for 1,400 local employees.
