Brewery to open in historic downtown Miami building


Biscayne Bay Brewing Co. will open in the historic Old U.S. Post Office and Courthouse building in downtown Miami.

The 6,200-square-foot brewery and taproom will be on the third floor of the building at 100 N.E. First Ave. Built in 1912 by Oscar Wenderoth, it was the city’s first brick-and-mortar post office.

Biscayne Bay Brewing said it will serve small batches of artisanal and experimental beers from its microbrewery there. It should open this winter.
