Busy buying properties in Seattle, Alexandria expands near Stanford


Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc. has picked up a 92,000-square-foot building in Stanford Research Park for $26 million or about $283 per square foot.

Pasadena-based Alexandria plans to overhaul the Palo Alto building to go from generic office to modern lab space. The building will house the company’s LaunchLabs concept that fosters early- and growth-stage life science companies.
