Carl Icahn sues Dell over ‘forced IPO conversion’


Carl Icahn, a billionaire activist investor involved in some Houston-based companies, is suing Dell Technologies Inc.

He alleges in court documents that the Austin-area computer manufacturer withheld key financial information related to a planned deal with VMware Inc.

“We believe this is a threat blatantly deployed in an attempt to coerce DVMT stockholders to vote in favor of the merger, or else risk the unknown consequences of the forced IPO conversion,” Icahn said, according to Reuters.
