A cat café is gearing up to open in the Magic City this spring.

Kelli and Stephen Steward plan to open Gatos and Beans at 4348 Third Court S. in April, reports Bham Now.

The café, which serves coffee, tea and wine, is partnering with local animal rescue Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue. Patrons will receive a free coffee or tea to enter the adoption center to play with the cats for $10 an hour. Upgrades to lattes or other drinks come at an additional charge, and all adoption fees benefit Kitty Kat.

The companies behind Cary’s Stellino’s Italiano and Raleigh’s Bella Monica have filed for bankruptcy protection in federal court.

Both restaurants will stay open for business, according to a statement from Corbett Monica, restaurateur and executive chef for both entities.
