Singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile drew cheers and a standing ovation at the 61 annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday night with her searing and powerful performance of the song “The Joke.”
Carlile won three Grammys last night: Her album “By the Way, I Forgive You” won Best American Album; and “The Joke" earned her two other Grammys- one for Best American Roots Performance, and another for Best American Roots song.
